Biopolis, under the Singapore Technopreneur 21 initiative, aims to create the right environment to nurture a thriving technopreneur community. Phase 1 (3.87 ha) comprises of 7 blocks of buildings which will accommodate about 1,500 scientists from both the public and private research institutes. The development provides a synergistic environment which promotes collaboration and interaction between researchers. At the same time, the presence of an animal handling facility gives crucial support to both private and public research activities.
