People’s Association co-owns communities clubs and centres throughout Singapore to promote social and grassroot activities. SMM’s facilities management contract with PA is to manage 22 community clubs and centres facilities in community clubs and centres facilities in Zone D & E. This Managing Agent role is to look after the building and its associated facilities to ensure that they are well maintained and safe for use. It covers the supervision of contractors providing cleaning and conservancy, ground care, horticulture, pest control, maintenance of building, mechanical, electrical and plumbing services. Regular inspections for health, safety and statutory requirements must be conducted, as well as fire drills. In addition, the Managing Agent is to provide consultancy for additions, alterations, repairs and redecoration works required by the owner and the end users.
