JURONG International was engaged as the Jiangxi Yichun Economy Development Zone master planner. Yichun is an old industrial city and the master plan aimed to create a new industrial area integrating the old city as well as facilities such as enterprises zones, residential areas, business services and other facilities that are lacking in the old city.

The scope of the project included were Conceptual Master Plan (61 sqkm), detailed Control Plan (7.5 sqkm) and Urban Design (2 sqkm).
