"JURONG International successfully completed the master planning, detailed infrastructure, engineering design and tender for the 1,000-hectare Extension Phase 1 of the Industrial City of Abu Dhabi (ICAD) in Abu Dhabi, UAE, in December 2005. This was the Abu Dhabi government's first project that was executed in a Private Public Partnership (PPP) arrangement. Within a short period of 5 weeks, we successfully overcame challenges to complete the detailed engineering design and the tender for the whole infrastructure works to meet the client's requirement. The project created the following facilities for ICAD. • An integrated network of some 25-kilometre of quality roads. • A 17-kilometre Storm Water Drainage Network System with outfalls to a nearby channel. • A 25-kilometre Sewerage Network System with dedicated Sewerage Treatment Plant. • A Water Supply and Distribution Network System. • A 33-KV Power Supply Network System. • A comprehensive irrigation Network System to support an ambitious extensive landscape and greening scheme in a desert environment."
