The master plan concept for the 22.5 km2 new Yingkou are to increase the coastline by reclaiming land and develop the Moon Island and other leisure islands. The master plan also focuses on the water resources research, while providing coastal tourism, leisure and cultural activities to establish a prosperous and distinctive coastal city.
