Institute of Chemical and Engineering Sciences (ICES) spearheads R&D in Singapore’s fast expanding chemical industry. ICES’ research facility is located in Jurong Island to be close to the chemical industries. SMM’s role as the Main Contractor is to provide management and maintenance of the facilities and its associated facilities to ensure that they are well maintained and safe for use. It covers the cleaning and conservancy, ground care, horticulture, pest control, maintenance of building, mechanical, electrical and plumbing services. Regular inspections for health, safety and statutory requirements must be conducted, as well as fire drills.
