The Ready-Built Office @ Eco BizPark in Tianjin Eco-City is located at the northeast end of the eco-business park of Tianjin Eco-city. The basic concept is to separate the vehicles and pedestrians to create a highly-efficient, convenient access while creating eco-friendly pedestrian network. The location of the proposed buildings is carefully sited to align to this central spine in linkage with the surrounding plots, facilities and amenities. The aim is to encourage pedestrian flow, creating a lively and vibrant streetscape within and outside the buildings, and to incorporate layered green landscape for an ecological and dynamic building cluster.

The Eight RBO buildings are designed to create an easy-build, easy maintain and sustainable building clusters, to provide flexible and diversified office space for eco-business park users. Exuberance and vibrancy have been enhanced and the architectural identity has been created through the use of colors and patterns. The rhythm of pixelated elevation has re-interpreted Landmark building, keeping with the aesthetic language of the master plan. The Stepped profile responding to central green spine and building massing has created a dynamic relationship between the buildings and open space.

The RBO takes a high-tech, economic and environmental friendly design approach. The buildings are designed to be modular, using prefabricated materials and easily replicated for efficiency in planning and ease of construction. A climate responsive design approach was adopted, such as side walls and vertical greenery, to provide good insulation in summer against thermal exposures for a comfortable indoor environment. Large area of openable windows is also incorporated to allow natural ventilation. New technologies are also applied such as light pipes, intelligent lighting system, District Cooling and Heating System (DHCS), Pneumatic Waste Collection Systems (PWCS), and Building Automation System (BAS) to effectively run and monitor the M&E systems, as well as rooftop solar thermal and solar cell panels which provide clean and renewable energy.
