JURONG International was selected to provide master planning, building design and infrastructure planning and detailed design for the 31ha Fujairah Workers’ Residential City located within the United Arab Emirates. With an aim to cater to a comfortable and conducive living environment for workers, the team included unique features such as roof trellis, staggered facades, louvers and protruding windows to enhance the environment. The Residential City is fully equipped with supporting facilities such as a post office, shops and places of worship. The design is energy efficient by means of both natural and mechanical ventilation systems.
